When the Sawyer's company of Portland, Oregon first introduced the View-Master in 1939, it was meant to be an updated version of the Victorian stereoscope, and was presented to the public as a method of visiting exotic scenic locations around the world in 3-D. For generations, the device and its image reels have thrilled, charmed, and transported both children and adults alike.

Now, on its 80th anniversary, we invite you to visit the 3-D SPACE museum to learn about the origins of the View-Master, see actual original pieces of art used to produce the classic reels, and enjoy a hands-on 3-D trip to faraway lands, Hollywood movies, family photos, and more.

Come to 3-D SPACE and share in the nostalgia!
