When the Sawyer's company of Portland, Oregon first introduced the View-Master in 1939, it was meant to be an updated version of the Victorian stereoscope, and was presented to the public as a method of visiting exotic scenic locations around the world in 3-D. For generations, the device and its image reels have thrilled, charmed, and transported both children and adults alike.

Now, in the year of its 80th anniversary, we invite you to visit the 3-D SPACE museum to learn about the origins of the View-Master, see actual original pieces of art used to produce the classic reels, and enjoy a hands-on 3-D trip to faraway lands, Hollywood movies, family photos, and more.

Come to 3-D SPACE and share in the nostalgia!
