3-D Screening of THE BOOK OF LIFE

Saturday, Nov. 14, 3pm

Join 3-D SPACE at the Gardena Cinema on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at 3pm for a special 3-D matinee screening of the THE BOOK OF LIFE (2014). From director Jorge Gutierrez and producer Guillermo del Toro comes an animated comedy with a unique visual style. THE BOOK OF LIFE is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Carrying on the family tradition of bullfighting, he would rather be a musician and play his guitar. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears, and struggle with the gods for both his heart and his soul. THE BOOK OF LIFE encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.

The movie features a stellar voice cast including Diego Luna, Zoe Saldaña, Channing Tatum, Ron Perlman, Kate del Castillo, Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Hector Elizondo, and Danny Trejo. The film is rich with music, featuring an original score composed by Gustavo Santaolalla, a number of pop singles adapted for the film with a Mexican touch, and two original songs by songwriter Paul Williams.

The picture was planned and animated at ReelFX Animation Studio for a stereoscopic release in 2014 and we are thrilled to be presenting it on the big screen in RealD 3-D.
